Size your form asks for (KB)
How it works
- Add your file. Choose it, drop it on the box, or paste it. It stays on your device.
- Pick the size your form gives, in KB. Use "My own size" for any other numbers, including cm and DPI.
- Check the meter, then download. The exact bytes are shown, so you know before you upload.
Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded. FormJig is independent. It is not affiliated with SSC, NTA or any government body. Always check your own form’s instructions.
Questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The resizing runs inside your browser, on your phone or computer. We tested every page with a network log: no request carried the picture. See the privacy page for the details.
What if my file is already small?
If the form gives a minimum, we raise the quality and then the pixel size until it is reached. We never add empty bytes to pad a file. If the minimum still cannot be reached, you see the closest real result and why.
Is 1 KB 1,000 or 1,024 bytes here?
Forms rarely say. We count your minimum at 1,024 bytes per KB and your maximum at 1,000, so the file passes either way of counting. The result shows the exact bytes.
Which files can I use?
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP. iPhone HEIC photos open in Safari; in other browsers, save them as JPG first. The result is a JPG unless you pick WebP.
